HOW CAN I HELP?
Financial Contribution: All gifts to the Hendersonville High School Foundation for the renovation of the high school track are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. The foundation is a non-profit organization in compliance with the standards set forth at Volunteer State Bank, Hendersonville, TN.
Timeline: We are excited about beginning this project by August 1, 2007. There are several phases in the project, and we anticipate completion by April 1, 2008. Our goal is to once again host a home track meet for the Hendersonville community in May 2008.
Community and Economic Impact: According to a recent economic impact study conducted by the City of Hendersonville, athletic facilities in our community not only attract thousands of visitors from other areas and states, but also bring in more than $1 million dollars to local businesses. Our new track and field venue has the potential to attract 1600 to 2000 visitors from the midsouth area, in addition to as many as 3000 from middle Tennessee each spring. A single invitational track meet with 15 teams could generate an estimated $680,000 in the community in one weekend. The improvements to the stadium and track venue will also be seen and enjoyed by as many as 10,000 football fans each fall.
