Marketing Education

The marketing education department at HHS offers courses designed for college-bound students who are interested in the dynamic fields of marketing and management.  Because the marketing industry employs over two-thirds of the nation’s workforce, our marketing courses involve educating students about the process of researching consumer needs and wants, then providing the planning and implementation necessary to satisfy those needs.  Advertising, selling, customer relations, foundations of business, public relations, management, international marketing, and economic principles are major areas of study in Marketing I and II.  Sports and Entertainment Marketing is a specialized course for students interested in these fields.  This course includes instruction in sponsorship, promotion, legal contracts, stadium design, event marketing, and communication.  Cooperative work experience is an option for seniors enrolled in Marketing II and/or Sports and Entertainment Marketing.
*Students earning a full credit in Marketing I fulfill the state requirement of ½ credit in Economics.
