GIRLS WHO CODE
Sponsor(s): Mr. Wilkins and Dr. Cornette
Girls Who Code is currently being renamed and reimaged, but the purpose will remain to teach participants about computer science (CS) in a fun and safe enviroment. Clubs provide participants with a sisterhood of supportive peers and role models, and an opportunity to use their skills to positively impact their community, learn about careers in computer science, and improve real-world skills. We will learn how to use a heat press to create our custom gear, laser cutter, 3D printers, and coding for arduino projects. Our goal is to have a project to present in the spring for the MTSU STEM Expo. We typically meet directly after school on Wednesdays.
