Morning Announcements - Friday, May 7, 2021
On Monday morning at the beginning of first period, students who have paid for Black and Gold Day will receive a t-shirt with a $5 food voucher. Students must wear their t-shirt to the pep-rally in order to stay outside for lunch. Students with no voucher will be served lunch in the cafeteria. The voucher can be used for 2 slices of pizza, a candy bar and a drink, or a $5 item from a food truck. If additional items want to be purchased from the food trucks, remember to bring extra money. The following food trucks will be here on Monday for lunch:

Mojo Ice Cream Truck
We encourage all students to stay and enjoy all of the fun festivities that are planned for the day, however, any student planning on an early dismissal will need to bring a note to check out. You will turn in your note to your first block teacher and the note must include:
Student name, grade, time leaving, parent signature and parent phone number. No phone calls or texts will be permitted.
The Musical Theatre Department will be presenting their annual Broadway Revue tonight at 7 pm. Come and support this student planned and directed presentation of their favorites from a variety of selected Broadway hits! Tickets can be purchased on GoFan.
Auditions for the 2021-2022 Select Chamber Choir will be held after school May 17th and 18th. If you are interested, please grab a packet and sign up for a time on the bulletin board located at the back of the foreign language hall.
If any senior would like to have their cap and gown picture taken or even remade, Lifetouch will be in the library on May 11 during lunch. Any senior can go at that time and have their cap and gown picture made.
Senior Project paperwork needs to be turned into Coach West ASAP!
Yearbooks will be given out next Wednesday, May 12 during lunch. There are still a few extras for sale. If you want one, please bring a check for $80 to Mrs. Good in the front office. The price will go up after May 11.
Attention Seniors planning to use the TN Promise Scholarship at Vol State or a TCAT school! You must watch the Mandatory Webinar by May 31st and complete your 8 hours of Community Service by July 1, 2021 to stay eligible! See the Senior Google Classroom page for all necessary details!

Baccalaureate for graduating seniors will be May 16 at Indian Lake Peninsula Church. Service starts at 2:00pm and seniors should arrive no later than 1:15pm to line up. Ladies should wear a nice, light colored dress under your graduation gown and gentlemen please wear nice pants, shirt and tie under your gown. Caps and gowns are to be worn as well as any cords or stoles you have received.

The rest of the winners will be posted on the tv’s around the school. We would also like to congratulate Briley Kotler for being awarded “The Bridget Harper Scholarship”. In honor of a Bridget Harper, a renowned International Potter who passed away several years ago.
Any student who has art work in the art show will need to remove it from the boards on Monday and Tuesday as well as take home any sculptures or 3-D work. Anything that is left after Friday of next week will be discarded.
