Codemandos Club Mr. Wilkins Robotics Club, which has been named the Codemandos, is a new club that was created to foster student knowledge in engineering, computer science, and programming. The Codemandos will be competing in VEX Robotics competitions, as well as, smaller competitions within the club.
Commando Crew Mrs. Piercy, Miss. Marshall Commando Crew's mission is to build one-to-one friendships between students with and without disabilities, helping student build self-confidence and connections with their peers. Best Buddies Website

Crime and Justice Ms. Harris Crime and Justice provides students with the opportunity to learn more about crime and justice related issues. True crime buffs and aspiring Sherlock Holmes' will enjoy this club.
Dungeons and Dragons Mrs. Hodgeman Dungeons and Dragons is a club about DnD, a fun role-playing game. the club consist of students who play all the time and students who are learning about the game for the first time. No experience required for lots of fun gaming.
DECA Mrs. Baugh and Mrs. Wright DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. DECA members have the opportunity to take field trips, participate in community service, attend monthly meetings and compete at the regional, state and international levels. This club is for students enrolled in Into to Business and Marketing, Marketing I, Retailing, and Sports and Entertainment. DECA Website

FCA Coach Wenzel, Coach Bridenbaugh, Coach Coffman FCA Vision: To see the world impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. FCA Mission: To present to coaches and athletes, and all whom they influence, the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church. FFA Coach Stephens, Mrs. Ross , Coach Wenzel, Miss Gates FFA is a national organization for students enrolled in any agricultural course. Hendersonville FFA boasts the largest enrollment in the state of Tennessee, even though not one student member lives on a farm. Our chapter is extremely active and participates in various competitions and activities throughout the entire year. Mission: FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of student by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

French Club Mrs. Whitehead French Club is for students who have taken French classes, are currently enrolled in class and/or plan to take French classes. We have meetings before school and have met after school depending upon student’s ability to attend meetings. Members will be able to select and purchase club shirts during the year, plan and organize meetings and activities (e.g., movies, refreshments, restaurant outings, etc.), and generate changes to club participation, expectations, and outcomes. There is a club fee of $10.00 which is payable by check or cash within the first two weeks of our initial meeting.
Gay Straight Alliance Mrs. Dawson-Cole The GSA is a secure, non-judgmental, support network for the LGBTQ+ and straight students who want to talk to each other and make a change in their community. Through group discussion and community projects, we have to make HHS a safe and welcoming space for all.

HOSA Ms. Vincent and Mrs. Sanders HOSA's two-fold mission is to promote career opportunities in the health care industry and to enhance the delivery of quality health care to all people. HOSA's goal is to encourage all health science instructors and students to join and be actively involved in the HSE-HOSA Partnership. HOSA Website
International Thespian Society Miss Moore, Mr. Griffiths The International Thespian Society (ITS), founded in 1929, is an honorary organization for high school theatre students located at more than 4,200 affiliated secondary schools across America, Canada, and abroad. The mission of ITS is to honor student achievement in the theatre arts. High school inductees are known as Thespians and non members working toward membership are known as apprentices. ITS is a division of the Educational Theatre Association (EdTA). The EdTA shapes lives through theatre education by: honoring student achievement in theatre and enriching their theatre education experience. The Thespian troupe is a subset of the theatre arts program. The International Thespian Society (ITS) is the student honor society, a separate student organization from the theatre department, and membership is earned. Any student may be a member of the theatre program, but only students who have been officially inducted and registered with the EdTA national office are members of the theatre program and the International Thespian Society.
Math Team Mrs. Stiles and Mrs. Kotler Our math team is made up of students who enjoy the challenge of rigorous math classes in high school. We participate annually in the Tennessee Math Teachers Association math contest hosted by Volunteer State Community College. Meetings are held by classroom teachers leading up to the contest and will be announced in the spring. If you are interested in participating, talk to your math teacher about which math courses you should take.

National Art Honor Society Mrs. Kandros National Art Honor Society is open to all art students who have had art for one year and have a 90% or above average in art. Students who are in Honor Society their senior year can graduate with cords. Art Honor Society signifies that their effort, attitude and sense of dedication in the field of art has consistently demonstrated the highest qualities in art scholarship, service and character.
National Beta Club Mrs. Gregory and Mrs. Watts The purpose of National Beta Club is to "promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service, and leadership." The club is open to juniors and seniors at HHS who maintain a 3.5 GPA. Once invited, students must complete a total of 20 service hours per year, 10 each semester. We meet the second Tuesday of each month at 7:20am. Student may have the option to participate in conferences at the national and state levels.

Young Women's Study Club Ms. Watts, Ms. Weems The Young Women’s Studies Club was formed in the spring of 2017 to empower young women and to celebrate women’s roles in history and contemporary society. We will be volunteering with women’s organizations, inviting speakers from the community, and facilitating book clubs. Membership in the club is not exclusive to females. Meetings are typically held once or twice a month after school.
School Climate Leadership Team Mrs. Mitchell This student organization, founded in the fall of 2015, is designed to help improve interactions between students, faculty and staff here at HHS. Activities include creating videos for advisory, facilitating school wide projects and generally spreading positivity and encouragement throughout the building. Gratitude Grams, Spring Clean and Senior Send Offs are our most successful projects. This year we hope to accomplish even more throughout the school year. We welcome anyone to apply that cares about creating a positive and uplifting environment here at our school.

Skills USA Ms.McCarter, Ms. Fitzwilson, Mr. French, Mr. Ball, Ms. Rinehart This club seeks to unite all students in trade, industrial, technical, and health occupations classes. Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica   The Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica is an honor society for high school students enrolled in Spanish and/or Portuguese, sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. Any secondary school student who has maintained an A or B average in the study of Spanish or Portuguese for a minimum of three semesters and is in the 10th grade or higher is eligible to be a member of the SHH. It should be remembered that the SHH is an honor society for those students of high academic achievement. In the spirit of our mission, each year the SHH contributes more than $160,000 in awards to student members of the SHH. The most prestigious of the awards are college scholarships given to 60 high school senior SHH members and the Student Travel Awards given to 24 high school junior SHH members. AATSP Website

Stars Peer Leaders Ms. Hooie STARS Peer Leaders are a group of students who are committed to being positive role models and are willing to offer support to other students for making healthy life choices. They work in our middle schools and in our high school to do prevention education about alcohol/drugs/tobacco and bullying. They develop activities for Red Ribbon Week and Prom Promise. In order to become a STARS Peer Leader you must be a junior or senior and complete an application and an interview. Approximately 20 students are selected each year.

Travel Club Mrs. Martin and Mrs. Fisher Travel club’s goal is to bring cultural understanding about different areas of the world. We learn about food, dance and educational opportunities. Trips are also sponsored annually and this summer we will travel to Iceland.

Youth in Government Ms. Elmore, Ms.Gregory In Model United Nations students act as delegations of countries that are members of the UN and debate topics of international importance at a mock United Nations Conference. Students will write resolutions on behalf of the country they are representing that address problems or conflicts in the world. Students will practice and use the skills of public speaking, debate, problem solving, and many other skills. The conference is highly academic and includes possibly 800 students from middle Tennessee high schools. It is a student run conference by the YMCA of Middle TN, Youth in Government Program.
